When will the WWE bring Wrestlemania to Canada again?

The WWE in Canada last week had me thinking. When will the WWE bring Wrestlemania to Canada again? The last Wrestlemania that was in Canada was of course Wrestlemania 18 in Toronto, with Triple H vs. Chris Jericho headling. It's been 12 years since then and not a talk of a Wrestlemania in Canada to be heard. With that being said it's been every 12 years that WM would make a return to Canada (WM 6 & WM 18 in Toronto). Is it about time for a mania to return or is it overdue?

Can't wait for Wrestlemania 31 from the Bay Area (Where I'm from!).

That's a good question you posed, Swagger…I think that if Wrestlemania went back to Canada, it should goto western Canada this time, since it's already been in Toronto twice. Maybe the next Canadian Wrestlemania could be held in Calgary because of the Hart Family history there, or if not in Calgary than in Vancouver.

Yea I'm looking forward on going to Wrestlemania 31 next year as well since I'm from San Francisco..

I'd love to see it happen soon. But if they came back to Canada, it would have to be in Vancouver. Since they've done Toronto twice, they should do western Canada, like Soulblazed said. Except Calgary would be out because their football stadium (ironically named McMahon Stadium) is outdoors and is very old and outdated. Alberta in late March/early April isn't exactly wrestling weather. Vancouver on the other hand just renovated BC Place. I could definitely see them holding a Wrestlemania there. World class city.

Wrestlemania in the renovated BC Place would be class. Although it won't be for a while, as it looks likely that 32 will be Dallas, and Vince loves getting in before the NFL SuperBowp, so I fully expect 33 in the new Minnesota Vikings stadium in Minneappolis (it hosts the SB 10 months later) which leaves 34 as the next possible opportunity.

However, I'm still surprised they've not gone back to Indianapolis yet, plus there's big rumours they loved Miami, and with the Performance Centre and perhaps the Hall of Fame in Central Florida, I think the next few Wrestlemania venues are pretty much set in stone, so wouldn't expect a Canadian WM until 2020 I'm afraid

WrestleMania will return to Canada if & when a Canadian city offers the highest bid to host the event. WrestleMania is essentially the Super Bowl of pro wrestling as people from all over the world are willing to pay hundreds, even thousands of dollars for tickets. That means people flooding into the host city for WrestleMania week eating at local restaurants, staying at hotels, visiting various tourist hot spots. The past several WrestleMania events have pumped over $100,000,000 into the local economy of host cities and that's a ton of money no matter how you slice it. WrestleMania equals money for everybody involved, directly or indirectly. It's why wrestling companies like Dragon Gate USA, ROH and others host their own events in the same city, or at least in the same area, during WM weekend so as to gain some degree of benefit via the runoff.

Canada is an easy place to get to from most countries so yeah I could see. Whether or not it happens is down to two things: Money and the location. WrestleMania is never held in places without tourist appeal, if you look at the destinations of the past 5 years you can see that. Seeing as it's Canada, you'd need a domed stadium because it's too cold to hold it in an outdoor stadium.

As others have said, it's really about tourist appeal and stadium size, and in some cases weather but not all the time. There's no time zone problems, so it's not really a hassle or a risk taking Wrestlemania back to Canada. I definitely expect it before 2020. 'Mania 31 is in San Jose (or San something, I forgot), 'Mania 32 is more than likely in Dallas and every other one is fair game. I personally am hoping for Wrestlemania in Philadelphia (I'm from the New Jersey area) which has major tourist appeal but I wholeheartedly expect Wrestlemania in Canada before the turn of the decade.

A while back I tweeted Justin Labar this question and he responded by saying it should be back in toronto within 5 years.

As much as I don't care where in canada it is I just do t think they would hold a wrestlemania anywhere in canada but toronto but hey that's just my opinion

[I think that it will be great if Toronto can host one of the following WrestleMania Because Toronto is the biggest city in Canada and it's more popular here in the six and also WE THE NORTH!
