Chris Jericho by a mile. Jericho can cut the funny promo, he can cut the serious promo, he can do anything with his promos. The Rock, while insanely good at what he was doing in his promos, was always in the same ballpark with them, he was kind of one dimensional if you will.

This.

The Rock has always been the comedy trash-talker if anything really. Sure he had his moments of serious talks and all that. But he still resolved a lot to his popular and entertaining catchphrases.

On the other hand, Chris Jericho completely reinvented himself when he turned heel back in 2008. He wasn't using any of his catchphrases, he wasn't all loud and energetic. No he was simply a slow talking, condescending asshole. A true heel if you will. Chris has showcased that he can work the style of The Rock and Austin by being the funny entertaining guy on the microphone. But he have also showed that he could turn it into a complete revamp, a new Chris Jericho.

Oh god this was a hard choice. Both Rock and Y2J are two of the most creative, entertaining and damm talented guys in the history of the business. Almost every time either of these two picked up a microphone you knew you were going to get something special.

But I think I am going to go with The Rock. While Jericho is world-class with his mic work, The Rock just had that special something that made everyone in the audience hang on to his every word and he had the charisma to make an instant catchphrase and win over the crowd no matter what he said. He could improvise, and just has that likeablility factor which made it impossible not to love the guy. Jericho is awesome, The Rock was a once-in-a-generation talent on the mic.

These two would definately make it into my top 5 of all time, and whenever the two of them appeared on the screen together it was brilliant TV. The time when Rock and Y2J stole each others catchphrases is as funny now as it was then, and of course there is the legendary Chris Jericho debut, where he interrupted The Great One.....

Two of the most entertaining men in wrestling history, no doubt about it

Okay I have to say both men are absolutely amazing on the mic. The rock when he adlibs is insane on the mic. The problem is once he got big he just started to repeat and regurgitate the catch phrases. And the it doesn't matter etc etc etc was pretty well placed and usually hilarious some of the other stuff was a bit repetitive. Now in fairness that is a theme in the wrestling business look at the Hogan whatcha gonna do stuff. But the fans eat it up. Now when the rock turned heel it was different. Jericho was pretty original 90% of the time.
