Viceland’s “The Dark Side of the Ring”

Wow 10 that’s a lot. Looking forward to them. Thanks

Viceland’s “The Dark Side of the Ring”

Its one of those shows I like but also don't cause its always very sad by the end. I must say though the most eye opening was the Bruiser Brody episode. I didn't sleep right for days afterwards. Aren't they doing a Season 2?

    NWA Powerrr

Bit late to reply but I'm with you, NWA Powerrr is the only current wrestling I'm watching now. WWE is a shadow of itself, NXT doesn't do it for me and AEW feels like every match is the same. Where AEW feels like its trying to be WCW (in the Nitro days), WWE feels like its a crap version of...

Imagine if Bret Hart never left WWF in 1997

For those saying that Austin vs Michaels at Mania was planned months in advance let’s not forget that Mania plans change all the time and as we know from various reports Vince would often promise wrestlers matches at mania and then change plans. Bret himself on the Bret Shawn Rivalry sit down...

    12 originally planned Wrestlemania matches.

This is kind of what I was getting at in the Bret Hart thread. WrestleMania plans change all the time. In fact Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels was supposed to Main Event WrestleMania 13 but as we know “Shawn lost his “smile” and Bret even said on the Rivalry Doc that he & Shawn were meant to Main...

What are your wrestling pet peeves?

Some truly excellent points in this thread. I think the times we’re living in is the problem. Wrestling is suffering from the same problems as other stuff such as movies, Tv, etc. The internet has allowed everyone to be a critic, people think they know better etc. Sad times really.

What are your wrestling pet peeves?

Just a few off the top of my head... Wrestling fans who can’t objectively review something such as an event or an incident without making that opinion personal. For instance you’ll have someone say how good a match was but they’ll still have to get in how they don’t like “insert wrestlers...

    The official AEW thread

I enjoyed Fyter Fest, I think the Street Fighter stuff was done cause it was co-produced with the gaming thing. The buy in a side from the first match which was good wasn’t great. But when we got to the main show I don’t think they really put a foot wrong. No it didn't have the same impact as...

    New Universal Title Design?

I really like that design you've done. That would be miles better.

Imagine if Bret Hart never left WWF in 1997

All I’ll say to that is plans change and don’t believe everything you read in the dirt sheets. Again don’t believe everything you read in the dirt sheets. The dirt sheets downright make stuff up. They were saying Hogan & Flair was originally planned for Starrcade and not Bash at the Beach but...

Imagine if Bret Hart never left WWF in 1997

If Bret hadn’t have left it would have been him who put over Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV. What’s most sad to me is the matches Bret could have had with the guys who made it big later or arrived in the company. Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle would have possibly (on paper anyway) been the greatest...

If you were in charge of booking and creative; how would you right the ship?

First thing I’d do is announce a Clash of the Champions where they’d merge several of the belts. The two men’s world titles would be merged, as would the two women’s world titles, the men’s tag yield and the women’s tag titles. There would be a match to unify the IC and US title too but I’d do...

Prediction thread for super showdown is now open

I’m gonna go out there a bit with a few of these: WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs Dolph Ziggler - I don’t think this feud will over after one show but don’t see them trading the title on this show. So Ziggler to win by count out. WWE Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs Baron...

    The official AEW thread

I’m really excited for the future of AEW. Right now they have nowhere to go but up and I’m really intrigued to know what their TV show will be like. With the next PPV All Out, I would love to see NWA Champion Nick Aldis Return for a third match with Cody. I’d put it in a cage this time. I...

    RIP WWE

Nothing is killing WWE it’s a brand, the Network is huge etc. AEW is simply an alternative that will co-exist with WWE. Double or Nothing was amazing and I’ll be tuning into the weekly show for sure. Personally for me AEW is a much better wrestling product. Current WWE is dreadful but maybe...

WCW Nitro 1995 reviews by Bobbywoodhogan

I’m finally back with more reviews. WCW Nitro #5 - 2nd October 1995 Flair interrupts the commentators as they’re bigging up tonight’s double main event. He wants Double A!!! Then we’re treated to a look back to last week to the Savage & Luger promo & what happened in conclusion to the...

    Rate The WM 35 Performances

Is there a forum simply for discussing WrestleMania as a whole? If I can do so here anyway I just want to say how awful I thought Mania was. I’ll admit I love the old stuff and I don’t like the new stuff. Reasons why are: - the character are terrible, take someone like Shaemus. Just what is...

WCW Nitro 1995 reviews by Bobbywoodhogan

WCW Nitro #4 - 25th September 1995 The usual hosts get us started and we’re straight into the action Alex Wright defeated Disco Inferno The battle of the dancers, this match actually makes a lot of sense in paper, well as much sense as two dancing wrestlers can make. It's a pretty forgettable...

WCW Nitro 1995 reviews by Bobbywoodhogan

I am finally back with more reviews, thanks to the WWE Network I have rekindled my old love affair with wrestling. Anyway on to the review of the 3rd episode of WCW Monday Nitro. WCW Nitro #3 - 18th September 1995 We are one day removed from Fall Brawl 1995 where the Hulkamaniacs defeated the...
