Thoughts on the content? Anyone getting it?

While it does look cool I won't be picking it up. It just looks like more of his later matches and it's only getting put out because of his retirement. It's basically the alternative to every match on his original dvd.

The match listing sucks major ass. There's a real lack of tag work vs. the Hardyz which is daft seeing as those two, along with the Dudleyz had some epic wars. His solo stuff from 2001/feud with Christian should have a match or two (vs. Lance Storm at SummerSlam and vs. Christian at No Mercy would no nicely).

This would be the third set I'd own with the Eddie match. They had other matches, let alone Edge's work with Kurt Angle that year, or his tag stuff with Rey, or even his tag title win with Hogan. 2004 comeback being glanced over makes some sense with Benoit being intertwined there. 2005 he had soem tremendous brawls with Shawn, Benoit, Matt and Kane. Only getting one match from those four in that time period is bizarre, though some of the omissions are understandable (again, Benoit). 2006 simply needs more coverage. Matches with Cena, Foley, hell, even the Triple Threat where he wins the belt from RVD. Not even talking about the Rated RKO stuff.

He worked some solid bits and bobs with Batista in 2007, a lack of that disappoints me. He and Rey had a very solid match at the 2008 Rumble, and his Taker feud needs more than one match for me. His Last Man Standing encounter with Cena along with the Judgment Day or Extreme Rules matches with Jeff would add to the collection. His 2010 match with Christian is a welcome addition, but I'd also like to see a match vs. Jericho and the match he had with Dolph at the Rumble instead of the Chamber match.

So yeah, this match listing seesm to suck the proverbial ass.

I agree the match listing isn't great at all as most of it has been released before and there is also a lack of matches as well. As well as the match listing not being great the Blu-Ray extras seem very light in content to say it costs an extra £5. Hope the documentary is great though.

What do you think about the lack of moments/promos? I remember there was a lot of great/funny promo's from his 2000-2002 run and his heel run as well.

I'm the polar opposite of you. I love this list because most of the matches aren't on his first DVD set while most of the matches you've mentioned are on the first one. I'm just stoked that this one is an actual biography type deal.

If they wanted to draw a line under his career, then I don't see why they didn't do the same as the Austin DVD with a four disk set. Disc One being the biography, Disc Two & Three being an extensive coverage of his matches and Disc Four being promos and other features.

Eh, I don't have the other set, I'll give it a quick look in terms of it's content.

EDIT: So I just looked at the DVD, yeah it has most of what I mentioned. And it's only £6.99 on Silvervision. Bought it shall be.
