ROUND ONE

They came from space! Two of spaces greatest warriors travel to the BattleZone to take on two of Earth's most horrific creations. Judge Dredd, a powerful law keeper in his time, may have to stay out of the way of his frenzied ally, a zombie tank. Do the Earth men have what it takes to fight off these space invaders? You decide!

FIGHT!

Alright you little shits, class is in session.

Who's Martian Manhunter? Well okay, this motherfucker is obviously a Martian, a Martian, which has so many powers that are grossly overpowered so I'm just going to go with the few that will show you exactly why he can very easily wipe the floor with both Dreadd, and the Tank.

Martian Manhunter has superhuman strength. How much super-strength? Well, he and Wonder Woman were able to move the fucking Earth in orbit. So in lay-man's terms, far more than the Tank and Judge put together. What else can he do? Well, quite easily he can alter his density to phase through solid objects, or dense enough to eat bullets. On Martian's merits alone he can easily destroy the team of Judge and Tank.

Tank, which the average life-span of a Tank is what? 1-2 minutes. They burn like paper (surprise, Wrex has fire rounds.) and Judge, while a complete and utter fucking badass, doesn't quite stand up to par on ability, durability, and technology of Wrex.

Manhunter and Wrex win this and go to celebrate with oreo's.

The Manhunter doesn't even need a partner in this round, but for the sake of including everyone's favorite Krogan, Judge's Lawgiver is probably on the same scale of future tech weaponry as Urdnot's arsenal. The Lawgiver comes equipped with rubber rounds, explosive rounds, armor piercing rounds, incendiary rounds, and a cool little thing called Argon 886 heat-sinking bullets. (Surprise, Killam is a closet Judge Dredd fan)

That being said, while The Judge vs. Mass Effect's coolest bounty hunter would be a really fun battle, and could really go either way, throw in Martian Manhunter and it's not even close.

The Martian Manhunter possesses a wide variety of superhuman powers—including advanced telepathy, shape, size, and phase-shifting, directed energy attacks, x-ray vision, invisibility, flight, density control, forcefield projection, and super-human speed, strength and endurance. In the current DC continuity, many of his powers are similar to those of Superman, including superhuman strength close to that of Superman, flight, invulnerability, vortex breath, and "Martian Vision" (a term designating both the ability to see through solid objects and the ability to project beams of energy from his eyes). Superman once said of the Manhunter, "He is the most powerful being on the face of the Earth"

Got to agree with the consensus on Martian and Wrex winning this, but really, it's not as close as you might think.

The Tank and Dredd have amazing synergy going on here. The Tank is an absolute wrecking ball, able to withstand an astonishing amount of punishment, and being able to serve as the ultimate diversion. Keep in mind, it takes constant gunfire from 4 people for about a minute and a half at least to bring a Tank down. Couple that with Dredd's accuracy and tenacity, and you have a great team, capable of bringing down a lot of teams in this tournament.

If Urdnot was with any random partner, I could see Tank serving as a diversion, leaving Urdnot and his partner in a Catch-22; stop the Tank or attack Dredd, who's firing from afar? Bear in mind that he doesn't know that incendiary ammo is effective against the Tank. If he tries to get Dredd, Tank wrecks him or his partner. If both partners attack Tank, Dredd picks them off.

But with Martian's super-humanity, that's really not an issue. I see the battle playing out with Tank charging at Wrex and Martian, maybe throwing a rock here and there. Martian would suss out Dredd from cover with Martian Vision and with his speed and power, Dredd would be lucky to get a dent in. Whether Wrex can kite the Tank or not isn't important though, as Martian's invisibility would be the downfall of the brain-damaged Tank.

It's a shame to see a team with great synergy go out so early, but Wrex and Martian are winning this one. But for someone as powerful as Martian, it's actually tighter than you may think.

1) Do Dredd or Tank have the ability to create fire on demand?

2) Do they have any level of psychic protection?

3) Do they both have psychic protection?

Manhunter breezes through with Wrex on his coat-tails. The BAMF that is J'onn J'onnz could take on the whole fucking Justice League and knock 'em into next month. A zombie and a guy with a gun and a feverish devotion to Law?

Not even close.

Glad MM is getting a run. He has some of the best defensive capabilities. The only way the other team can get a shot in is if MM can't use his non-physical powers, otherwise he'd just be in ethereal mode. MM takes this on his own.
