Your Favourite Promos

Occasional Pre-Show
hey guys, i havent seen a thread done like this before, if there is please direct me to it

basically i thought it would be nice if people said one of their favourite promos of all time, and then a youtube link to it.

Please don't do ones that have already been done, as this is meant to be more of a bank of great promos than 99999 Austin 3:16 links.

I'll start - a very recent one, the rock returning to raw for the first time in 7 years!

DO NOT JUST POST LINKS TO YOUTUBE WITHOUT GIVING A REASON WHY YOU LIKE THAT PROMO. ALSO, LEARN HOW TO USE THE YOUTUBE LINK CODE PROPERLY. IT IS EXPLAINED IN THE FORUM FAQS

Almost any old-school Piper's Pit segment is gold. That used to be my favorite part of the show way back when.

Also, almost any sketch with the original DX (HBK, HHH and Chyna). They were absolutely hysterical, but my favorite one from them was always the BBQ sketch from the night after the 1998 Royal Rumble.

Mine is unquestionably when the Rock did his "Billys prayer to god" promo before their match at Summerslam '99. That had to have been the funniest, most entertaining promo I've ever seen.

Just the whole promo in general from just how funny it was to the Rock's impeccable delivery throughout the entire promo I gotta say it was probably my favorite 5 minutes ever in a wrestling ring. For myself nobody did a promo like the Rock did and almost every promo he did was absolute gold and IMO his prayer to god was the best one he ever did.

Please, anyone who has not seen this promo just sit back and take in the magic as Steve Austin cuts what I think is the greatest SERIOUS promo of all time in ECW, letting the world know who he is, where he is going and how WCW wasted his talents. This is the 1st time Austin was given the chance to talk to this level, and he proved to everyone the talent he had.

A mind-blowing promo

My 2nd pick is the famous Chris Jericho "Man of 1004 holds" promo in WCW. Jericho at his very best, claiming that he is better than Dean Malenko as he knows 4 more holds....ARMBAR!

I have been trying a long time to find this promo on youtube. It was when HBK was commissioner. I think the corporation was in the ring and HBK was on the TitanTron making matches. There were some bodyguards in the ring dressed in black and what looked to be welding helmets. HBK was talking to one of the bodyguards and he said, "Is that a nightstick in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" Then the bodyguard started taking off his helmet and shirt and starting dancing and it was Shawn Michaels that was in the ring. Please, does anybody have a link to this promo?

There's been some good ones here so far I must say.

It would be too hard for me to pick an overall favourite, but one of my favourites is Sting's from the last Nitro. I was so excited after his promo, and it sort of took me away from the sad end of an era sinking feeling I had. It's showtime folks!

Chris Jericho's return promo was brilliant, people were going crazy.

And Ric Flair, well, anything he did in NWA was great so that's one of many I could choose from.

How can anyone not mention HBK in Montreal 2005. He completely owned the crowd...not once but twice. The bit where he is face down on the mat mocking the fans is brilliant.

Also, anything by the Rock in 2003. The promos he cut on Hogan and Austin were top notch.

Jake The Snake Roberts, without a doubt, my favorite promo man of all time. This isn't necessarily my favorite, but I can't remember one he did that was bad. Jake revolutionized in-ring psychology and he pretty much invented "mind games" that guys like Michael Cole and The King say no body does better than The Undertaker.
