Sig Of The Week Challenge 4/16 - 4/23

Welcome to an exciting new contest taking place here in the Graphics Section! Here, sig makers will attempt to show off their skills when given a specific render or theme to make. In one week, these sig makers have to submit one sig to this thread. That sig will be voted on by you! The poll will be added on April 23rd, with a new Sig Of The Week Challenge starting soon after. So while you guys are voting, a new Sig Of The Week Challenge may already be underway. This week, you must make a sig of:

So I guess I'm the first entry this week...

Like I expect most people to do, I made a sig of Dr.House. This was very easy to make and I like the outcome. I started by putting in both the render of House and the logo. I decided to work around that. I found a picture of a hospital sign and put that behind everything. Behind that, I made a grungy background with various grunge and crack brushes. I set the picture of the sign to hard light. After that I added a couple of drop shadows and outer glows to the two main focal points. I added a black border and I was done.

Man, to tell you the truth I've never liked this show. the only character I know by name is House, and I like him. The show is pretty boring though.
So as I'm sure you can assume, I've done one on House:

I made another one but wasn't happy with it. Then I thought I'd make a bright white one to reflect on the white, sterile-ness of a hospital. It may seem like there's just a lot of dead space, but that's the reason for it.

To combat the lack of background, I did some heavy editing on the image itself.
I first duplicated it twice and on one did a black gradient map. I set it's opacity low so it look kinda rough. On the second I did the old desaturate-overlay to give it depth. I then selected just the image and on a new layer added a feathered border to it and set it to overlay. This gave it that awesome rough around the edges look. I merged all of these and zoomed right in and with just a square brush gave him some piercing blue eyes, which turned out awesome.
I finished it off with the text and a cinematic border.

Please don't assume that this is just a pic on a white bg, there are a lot of intricacies.

I may now present to you.... HOUSE MD!

What I did was, create a background layer: color black
then i created another layer on top of it with different brush strokes which i put on opacity, then added a broken glass render on top of it and blurred it out and on top i added 3 renders of dr. house.

I don't watch House. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen an episode. However, I love Hugh Laurie and I kind of know what the character of House is like. So here is what I came up with...

I've done a similar kind of signature before with Katy Perry, which you can find in my thread and should definitely check out (little plug there). There are differences, though. I started out with the main image, put in some stripes and added a texture. In two of the stripes, you'll notice images. All I did was duplicate, desaturate and set to overlay. I duplicated the duplicate several times, merged them and lowered the opacity. Next, I popped in my text which I wanted to keep classy so it's Times New Roman. There are various adjustment layers in the sig. Finally, I did some light brushing, put in my logo and added a border.
