This round, we have 7 matches that have asked for an extension to be granted to them. Normally, what will happen, is that most of the RP's come in on the deadline day. So by pushing 7 matches back for 24 hours, we are already 24 hours beind our scheduled release time for shows. It means that we have 24 hours less to read the work, vote and write the matches.
Now in the past, we had some pretty stringent rules that kept the extensions to a minimum. Recently, however, it seems as though they are requested by the majority of matches and this can't be allowed to continue.
So, the rules will be back in place post-Apocalypse PPV.
1. Extensions must be requested 3 days before the end of the original deadline. This means that it will give the person who is not asking for the extension a good amount of time to work on their piece as well.
2. We will grant extensions to people who may need them after the dealine, depending on the circumstances. We get it, things come up. They have in the past and they will again. But if you are desperate for the extension, PM a member of Creative with the details and we will, more than likely, grant it.
3. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO soft deadlines for those who have asked for an extension. This happens a lot. People ask for the exntension and then push it past the agreed extension. The threads will close when they should.
4. Those who excessively ask for extension may not be granted them. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
As I mentioned, these rules will come into force after the Apocalypse PPV. So if you have any questions or queries, please let me know before then.
