Hilariously bad movies

So we have all seen that movie that is so bad that it is almost good. They are some of the best movies in the entire film industry. We laugh at them, drink while watching them, play games, basically they are on an entirely new level then anything else and become cult classics. They stand alone. I have seen quiet a few of these sorts of movies, I actually enjoy watching them and have fun with them. I have seen classics such as Troll 2 and Shark Attack 3 (If you haven't seen Shark Attack 3 get it for the greatest line ever uttered in movie history). But neither of those films have even affected me the way my favorite bad film has. It is actually a trilogy of films that some of you may remember, most probably won't. It is called Carnisaur and there are three films. Basically they are about these dinosaurs that just so happen to be carnisaurs. The first movie is actually based off of a book with the same name. All three movies have classic moments for bad cinema in them. From the cheaply made dinosaurs, we can't all be Steven Speilberg can we, to the cheap dialogue and the poor effects, these movies are truly great bad movies. The third one is so bad that it actually takes scenes from the second one as does another film called Raptor from 2001. My point is it is amazing for a bad movie. Me and my buddies actually throw parties with these movies as the main attraction.

So what bad movie is so bad that it is good that you like?

You gotta go with "Showgirls" as one of them. It is just an awful movie, but it includes a lot of sex, nudity, and girl on girl action. Gotta love it, it's just a step away from porn.

"Ninja Cheerleaders" is another good on. George Takei is a martial arts master/strip club owner who is working with a bunch of high school girls who are Honors Students/Cheerleaders/Ninjas and are working at the strip club to raise money for college. With a plot like that, it can't fail.

The carnisaur series spawned Primal Species, which is a classic in this genre - the plot revolves around terrorists stealing a dinosaur off the army when they meant to steal a nuclear bomb. However, my all time favourite has to be Snakes on a Train. Basically some woman gets a gypsy curse that makes her spawn snakes. She's on a train from Mexico to LA, and the snakes begin to devour everyone on the train. In the end, they manage to stop the train and they get off it before one of the snakes eats the train. Simply a cinematic masterpiece.

Didn't Y 2 Jake make a thread about this already? Anyway, Troma is the king of "they're so bad, they're funny" films. Of course, sometimes their films just straight-up suck (e.g., Poultrygeist), but, for the most part, they're both horribly made and horribly good. However, Troma serves as both a producer and distributor of films, so, if you decide to look into Troma, make sure to get what they produce; they have distributed some gems, though (e.g., Combat Shock, Killer Condom, and Killer Nerd).

I was going to make this thread but found this one. I'd have to go with Surf Ninjas. Just look at the start studded cast: Ernie Reyes Jr aka the Asian pizza guy from Ninja Turtles 2, Leslie Nielson, Rob Schneider with short red hair in one of his first movies ever, and to top it off rapper Tone Loc plays a cop in the movie.

Not great acting by any means but as a kid and even now I've always found it enjoyable. A kid being able to tell the future with a Sega Game Gear? Sign me up please. Surf Ninjas is definitely one of those movies that is so bad it's good.

Troll and Troll 2 were both hilariously bad. Some late night Cinemax movies like the Bare Wench Project and Cleavagefield were probably worst. I think I will have to go with Thankskilling. A movie about a killer turkey that teeters on the edge of hilarious and just plain awful.

[The People's Peep]

As Sexy said already, Surf Ninjas was awesome. I actually still have a game gear.

One movie that is so unbelievably bad that its good is Kung Pow! Enter the Fist. That movie is so bad. The comedy is bad, production is bad, but I still laugh like crazy every time I watch it. I cant help it.

For those who dont know about the movie, the creator took footage from an old martial arts movie and added some scenes with himself and redubbed everything to create his own movie. Most people who watch it will find it incredibly stupid but I cant stop laughing at that movie. Maybe its the comedy, or maybe its the bad production, but I love that terrible movie.

 

[Spidey Revivey]

Deathstalker and the Warriors From Hell was so bad that I thought it was good. Back when Hollywood had a soft spot for barbarian hero flicks like Conan we recieved the anti-hero that was Deathstalker. It was campy and purged on the boundaries of what would be considered a porno or not. It was a decent film I thought, and its sequel Deathstalker 2 was just as bad.

But for Deathstalker (3) and the Warriors From Hell, it crossed the line from being a mediocre fantasy flick to just laughable antics that recieved criticism from Mystery Science Theater 3000. The villain was hilariously acted, the fight scenes were uber-choreographically bad, and just the whole plot was something a 9 year old would have come up with.

But it entertained me, so I give it a thumbs up.
