It wasn't THAT bad. I was quite young at the time but I still remember that time period fondly. I was a kid so that doesn't mean much I guess.
The Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania were both of a high quality deliver some 5* matches; Angle/Benoit, Lesnar/Angle, Jericho/HBK. 2003 probably could have been better but it wasn't horrible. It delivered some great matches so we can look back at it fondly.
