In all seriousness though, What "can" you do? She seems like a train wreck, She needs professional help, Depression isnt a easy thing to shake off.

I'd tell her the truth;

Alcohol is a natural depressant and she should give it up as it won't help her if she's drinking herself silly. Get this point across to her when she's sober, get other friends to help her out, if they're true friends they won't pressure her. (speaking from experience here mate)
