Mostly, India gets a late release. This time it might be early because of Deepika Padukone. Plus, it gets a two week period before the big clash at Republic Day.

Companies aren't stupid and know what to do in order to make the most money and how to capitalize on their stars.

If it would've been released on 20th, that would leave just 6 days before the big clash. So, that saves a big amount.

I saw a 2-3 minute action scene and it was so over the top, terribly fake that Redbox would be too expensive.
