According to numerous reports ( http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/margot-robbies-harley-quinn-movie-894486 ), Margot Robbie is set to star in a Harley Quinn spin-off film, featuring various DC female characters. A lot of buzz surrounds Robbie's Quinn and Jared Leto's Joker, and if Suicide Squad and the solo Harley Quinn film (if it happens) have successful runs at the box office, and if both films receive their fair share of positive reviews from the critics, you have to believe the big push for Margot Robbie as a real star will continue.

Of course, Robbie has a few high profiled roles as a co-star under her belt in The Wolf Of Wall Street and Focus, and she's playing Jane in the upcoming Tarzan film. Robbie has a screen presence, she has the sex appeal, and she has a decent amount of charisma, but one of her obvious flaws so far is she has trouble holding her own. In The Wolf Of Wall Street and Focus, she had Will Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio, and more recently in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, she had Tina Fey. If the solo Harley Quinn film happens, it'll be her first real test to see if she has what it takes to carry a film in a starring role. Robbie is still very young (only 25), so she has plenty of time to flesh things out and build a career.

Any thoughts on Margot Robbie? Is she a superstar in the making? Or is she a flash in the pan?

Depends if she has success with "Suicide Squad" and Harley Quinn character. If it underperforms like "BatmanvsSuperman" does in terms that studio officials wouldnt be happy with money they earned she will probably suffer same faith as Emilia Clarce did with Terminator. She is most prominent one in trailers along Leto's Joker, if it fails cant see them trusting that she can "draw" enough to be big star. Though I believe that they will not nderperform. Will at least return money and if they fing her and Joker good they will bet on that horse for at least one movie to see if it can work.

She has had some great performances and starred opposite some marquee actors. Her career is on the right track. There is a big if because the comic book craze may last forever, or it could end tomorrow. There have been some successful ones and we've had some real stinkers. Harley Quinn spinoff won't prove she's made it necessarily it has a following and an audience from the comic books. Her making a film (or preferably 3- 5 films) that is original (no comic book origins etc.) and carries it to either critical acclaim or financial winfall or both would show she is a superstar.

From what I've seen of the trailers, Suicide Squad seems like it's going to be a good one. Robbie's Harley Quinn will have a lot to do with if the film is good or not. Suicide Squad won't be the test of her success as an actress though. Comic book movies now a days are almost guaranteed to make between 500-600 million at the box office. It depends on how well her character will be received, but she really needs an original role to show if she's going to be a huge actress or not.
