Morales was a world champion, but he never really got out of Sammartino's shadow, and as a result never established himself as one of the all time greats. Austin got himself out of everybody's shadow in fantastic fashion, and as a result think he'd win this.

Austin in a huge way, in nearly every shape, form and fashion. Morales can't be forgotten here, but Austin is synonymous with modern pro wrestling to this day.

Austin wins with a stunner, then he drinks beer, blatantly attacks Morales, drinks more beer, and throws up on Morales.

Stone Cold wins this one by a mile. When you think of wrestling you think of Hogan and Austin first. Morales was champion, but just not at the level of Steve Austin. Austin cruises to the next round.

Morales may be a little underrated but it doesn't matter. He's against a top seed and the guy credited for keeping the WWF alive when WCW was hell bent on putting them out of business. It may be unfair but Pedro's title reign is kind of forgotten despite it lasting nearly three years because he competed during Bruno's era. Austin's era may have been brief but it was wildly successful and it was his own.
