Why are you a fan of Roman Reigns again?

Roman Reigns and the other members of the Shield all are destined to become huge stars. People say Reigns will flop because of many things in that he is not ready, shitty mic skills, no charisma, etc. He is supposedly the next golden boy for WWE so of course the IWC is going to shit on him. It's practically protocol at this day and age for them to do so.

Roman Reigns does not have to be "ready" he has to be OVER. If WWE wants to launch him to superstardom they can and they will. He will develop whatever he needs to along the way just like Cena, Rock and many others before him did. If you have the crowd and people caring about you, everything else will come.

He does not have to be a John Cena, CM Punk, Roddy Piper, Paul Heyman whatever on the mic. That is not his character. He is fine with simply saying "I'm going to kill you" and backing that up. I have seen him in interviews and he is awesome to listen to. That's what they have to look for on shows like Jimmy Fallon or radio shows anything like that that he is going to be on with the WWE World Heavyweight Title on his shoulder. He's a great talker and carries himself like a professional. He doesn't need to cut a 20 minute masterpiece of a promo to be a star because that is not what his character is on WWE TV. It's a show and he plays a character. It's akin to an actor playing a movie role where he doesn't say anything the whole movie but in an interview he's great to listen to talk.

Whether Roman Reigns is going to be the next huge superstar remains to be seen and it is silly to judge him this early on. Give him a chance and let WWE give him the ball. If he gets a touchdown with it, awesome, if not and he fumbles, the machine keeps rolling and they try a different guy. Just because someone has muscles and doesn't say things in a promo to pander to IWC wet dreams does not mean that they are shit.

There hasn't been a badass type like Reigns in a while. People can argue Lesnar but he started out in 2002 and is an attraction at this point.

Some people complain about his lack of mic skills. Reigns is competent, he's not fully comfortable on the mic just yet but he's improving quite well after becoming a solo guy a few months ago. Also very few powerhouses are great on the mic. The mere fact that he's ok at this stage speaks volumes.

People complain about his lack of a skill set. Yeah he's limited but it works for him. Badass powerhouses aren't supposed to have great in-ring matches. They fuck shit up. Goldberg was the same, heck one can argue Steve Austin at the height of his popularity was limited in the ring (admittedly due to injury but the point still stands)

And as Sam pointed out he's only been doing this for four years. The mere fact he's where he's at now after four years shows he's got the drive to better himself.

I like him because he's a bad ass. Ever since his debut, he always had that aura about himself.

Finish his opponents off quickly and not spend 20 minutes talking like HHH.

He got a bright future as long as he don't piss the powers-that-be off backstage.

Roman Reigns and the WWE need to be careful. Already his character has become a little stale and he is in danger of being booed, which is no good for a man being pushed to the stars
