Some of his films were pretty good like Walking Tall, The Rundown and The Gameplan. Plus he was funny in Be Cool. I think his career will be fine.

No, it won't be. His career was saved from being flushed down the shitter due to The Game Plan's sleeper box office. Obviously, though, he couldn't repeat that success with The Tooth Fairy and that film about a mountain. This has nothing to do with him making films that you find good; unless you can ensure that they gross 75 million domestic, his films being good is a moot point.

If Fast Five flops, he's done (no amount of kiddy movies, which is all that he's booked to do after Fast Five, will be able to save his career). Even if it doesn't flop, he won't be headlining any serious action studio films anytime soon. If he hadn't fucked up his serious acting debut with Southland Tales, he could have gone the indy route, but that ship has long sailed.
