Reaper of Miracles
Welcome to the First Ever Women’s Wrestling Tournament

I firstly want to thank those who contributed to the tournament roster, and for helping me place the top seeds. The first 14 seeds were placed accordingly into the tournament based on a voting format, with the overall seeds receiving the highest number of votes per person. Special big thanks go out to Eternal Dragon, Rawfanation, TheOneBigWill, Evansnowwolf, and Suicidal Dragon (From Youtube) for helping me out with that process. I also want to thank The Shockmaster for setting up the Tournament Brackets for me.

The concept of this tournament will be very similar to the Men’s Tournament

There will be 64 women competing in this tournament, single elimination, with 6 total rounds in the tournament. There are 4 regions, the WWE, TNA, AJW (All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling), and a combined region for NWA/AWA. The WWE region will have the emphasis on basic WWE rules, except the move ban will be nonexistent, as will the emphasis on looks being greater than talent. The matches inside the TNA region will have the 6 sided ring, and the AJW region will have an entrance ramp on the same level as the ring. The NWA/AWA region will have a similar setup as the WWE region. Actual wrestling skill will be a primary focus for all the regions.

The first round of the tournament will take place in a separate location, determined by the hometown of the highest seeded wrestler in a certain bracket. They all will be basic one on one match ups, with the rules depending on the Region in which the wrestler is competing in. The 2nd and 3rd rounds will consist of gimmick matches, with the gimmick matches increasingly in difficulty and complexly within the two rounds. The last 3 rounds, consisting of the elite 8 of the tournament, will be set up in a Queen of the Ring style fashion, where each wrestler will wrestle a series of matches in one night.

Take into consideration that each of these women are wrestling in their primes, and at the top of their games. Name popularity will not be a factor (or at least hopefully will not be a factor) in the outcome of some of the matches.

I want to say that I have high expectations for this tournament. I am optimistic about the setup and I am aware that many of the women that will be featured in this tournament will be relative unknowns to many of you. I have gone out of my way to track down as much online match history as I can on some of these girls that will be in the tournament and I will be posting that information for easy accessibility and reference at the beginning of each match (if needed) along with photos of each wrestler.

The matches will not start for another couple of days, so if anyone has any questions in regards to the tournament as the seeds are being unveiled over the next couple of days, please feel free to voice your concerns in this thread or feel free to send me a PM.

- The forum rules will still be in affect once the tournament starts and the matches begin, which means, no spamming. Infractions will be handed out to enforce this rule.

- Flaming will be tolerated, as it was with the previous tournaments; just don’t let the personal attacks get out of hand.

- You do not have to post a response in each match, which is what the poll will be for. All the polls will be closed for a given amount of time after they are announced so that each match can be properly discussed before being voted on. You don’t have to state an opinion to participate, but if you do, make sure it isn’t spam. Vague, one line post will not be tolerated.

- Lastly, if you have a problem with the roster because your favorite wrestler didn’t make the cut please refrain from complaining about it inside the tournament threads (if needed I will make a complaint thread, but do not direct your complaints to the inside of the match threads). Their were plenty of other well deserving women that did not make the roster either. If you have a problem with the roster, please direct your complaints to me via the PM system.

This is a prototype tournament; it’s the first of its kind on this board. I want to attempt to give something back to the board, and to try and get people to step out of their comfort zones a tad bit and possibly learn something new about an area of pro wrestling that they probably didn’t already know. The main focus of this tournament is to have fun with it.

That is it for now, I will be revealing the tournament roster and the seeds over the next few days, but if you want to get a sneak peek at not only the roster and the seeds, but also the first round match ups, The Shockmaster has completed the tournament bracket and if you follow the link in his sign, the Women’s Tournament bracket link is located at the bottom of the list.

This thread will serve as the Official Discussion Thread for the Tournament as well, so feel free to discuss anything related to the tournament in here. Feel free to discuss the seeds as they are released, any matches, gimmick matches, complaints, and any other general discussion related material to the tournament in here.

I will be releasing the seeds over the next few days, starting with the number 1 seeds and moving to the last seeds. Their were a possible 6 votes that each of the women could have received as voted on by the voting committee. 16 women received votes and were placed accordingly, the women with the most overall votes landed the number 1 spots. All the other women that did not receive a vote were placed according to there in ring skills.

This tournament is going to be fantastic! I can't wait until it's under way!

For those who are new, Apheleon / Echelon is the board's expert on Women's Wrestling. He will open the door for women's matches we never even knew existed and will really bring to light just how sad the state of the "Diva" world is. Cheers!

While I'm not too familiar with the number ones outside of what Ech has told us, Aja Kong looks scary as shit. I'm familiar with Del Ray and Melissa, so they are pretty solid.

The number twos are strong and are getting more into the name value most will be familiar with.

Bull Nakano was fantastic, but it's too bad the WWE was obsessed with putting the terrible Luna Vachon look on her to get her over.

Alundra Blaze/Madusa was also a great women's wrestler. She did probably the most important thing in all of women's wrestlign stateside, putting the WWE Women's title in the trash can where it belongs, and still belongs. For that, major props to her.

And then when get to the person that I think speaks for herself. My god have I never been impressed with someone, man or woman, as much as I have been with Awesome Kong. Holy Shit this women is legit scary, and this is coming from a fairly good sized male. She can beat up the entire X-Division and probably a good chunk of the men's division in botht he WWE and TNA. By far and away, probably the best thing going today in women's wrestling. For me, Kong has to be an early favorite to win this thing.

This tournament is going to be a lot of fun. I am pulling for Manami Toyota as she has convincing wins over Mariko, Aja, and Nakano, but I am looking forward to plenty of puro/joshi love as well as learning more about some of the ladies in the indies. I can't wait.

Thanks for the support guys, moving along to the number 3 seeds

We are about a third of the way through the seeds, and personally I think the tournament is shaping up very nicely. As stated I think that Awesome Kong could be an early favorite to win this thing, as could Mariko Yoshida or Aja Kong (If they can get some support behind them) I also feel that Wesna Busic has the ability to go a long way in the tournament as well. Megumi Kudo is one of the most vicious and vile womens wrestlers in this tournament, don't let her calm and cute demeanor fool you.

Totally agree with Awesome Kong as the early favourite, cant wait for her first round match. I looked ahead so i know what it is. That should get some debate going. :) I think it will take alot to bring down Kong
Also though depending on the gimmick match rounds LuFisto should go far i reckon.

It getting exciting seeing the seeds and very much looking forward to the tourney. Great job

Echelon; regarding the rep comment. The only reason I remember Velvet Macintyre is because I recently watched the 1st Survivor Series again. Apart from you and others who've recently watched that event, nobody remembers her.

My prediction: She goes out quickly.

I wouldn't doubt it, but it depends on who she has in the first round. I have a couple of matches of hers that I can show everyone to refresh their memories so she may have a fair shot. The only women that don't have a shot in this tournament at all are the ones that are relatively unknowns and don't have adequate amounts of information for me to show of them. Like Judy Martin or Mildred Burke.

People will remember Judy Martin. It's the Japanese that won't stand a chance. Even ones that were involved in Survivor Series 1995 don't stand a chance. If people on this forum won't watch Kenta Kobashi matches, then they're not going to do it for a butch female. It's a shame because they're better than a lot of males.

im having a hard time seeing anyone actually beating awesome kong though, when shes regarded as a total beast, and is undefeated in shimmer i believe

If people on this forum won't watch Kenta Kobashi matches, then they're not going to do it for a butch female. It's a shame because they're better than a lot of males.

I am hoping people will be a little more open minded regarding this tournament. I find that my friends that prefer to watch WWE product don't necessarily get into old AJPW or NOAH matches, but when I've showed them joshi matches from the 90's they thought it was really cool. I think that what the Japanese women's matches offers something different enough to catch the attention of the most diehard WWE fan.
