Who's Got the Best

Tired0FthePeople

Defender of the Universe
In this thread Id like to discuss who you think has the best of the following. I'll start.

Best drop kick
Hardcore Holly. I remember saying to myself how fluid his dropkick was and about a month later WWF dubbed him as the man with the 'best dropkick in the business." This wasnt just fluff in my opinion. Holly's dropkick is the most fluid and perfect Ive ever seen. Honorable mention to Mr. Perfect for his DK.

best moonsault
Christopher Daniels. Definately the best moonsault in my opinion as it hard to find someone who doesnt have somewhat of a sloppy moonsault. His backflip is extremely crisp and thats incredible considering the fact that he springboards rather than set himself.

best finishing move
The Canadian Destroyer. The move speaks for itself...no details needed. Like one commenter said...can you imagine Ziggler selling this?!?! Petey Williams has one of the most awing moves of all time. Honorable mention to Shane Helms' Vertebreaker.

best signature move
Goldbergs' Spear. This is where I give credit to a guy who I was never particuarly a fan of. But as far as signature moves go, few can argue that Goldberg's spear was very well executed, and, well, looked pretty awesome. Honorable mention to Arn Anderson's spinebuster, RVD's Rolling Thunder and Undertakers Old School

best high flyer
Jody Fleisch. Enough said. Honorable mention to Teddy Hart.

Best Promo.
Not simply the best on the mic, but the best individual promo you've ever seen. I suspect Punk's pipebomb last year will get a lot of votes. I saw this promo live when it was happening...and although it because a rather famous promo, I actually saw it live and caught goosebumps as it was happening.

Daniels doesnt feel like its going to finish you.. those guys.. yeah.. they were going to
finish you with it.

BEST HIGH FLYER
Easy answer- tons of great answers,
but one guy changed the entire game
and we give him shit credit for it. I mean he changed the game
as much as Paul Heyman did or anyone else from the Attitude Era
ROB VAN DAM.

Best Signature Move
Good one, you know.. all opinions .. are really valid

it's the most fluid thing in wrestling.

Watch this.. and disagree..
runners up ( superkick, stunner, angle lock, )

Best Dropkick:
AJ Styles
Tough to decide but I think I'd have to give it to AJ. You just never see it coming, it always catches his opponent off guard, and after he connects with the kick, he always performs a backflip, adding more awesomeness onto his Dropkick. It always gets an "awe" reaction from the crowd everytime especially when it's used on Samoa Joe, you can always hear a loud smacking sound off Joe's chest, when he hits him with it.

Best Moonsault:
Kurt Angle
I've seen lots of wrestlers perform the move normally but nobody has made the Moonsault as special as Kurt has. He has hit the move off the top of Steel Cages, off the top of Ladders, hell he injured Hardcore Holly with it once.

Best High Flyer:
Rey Mysterio Jr
I know there were some high flyers that came before Rey in American wrestling, but when Rey arrived on the scene, he just took aerial wrestling to a whole new level, bringing in all these fancy springboard moves, hurricaranas etc. He put this style of wrestling on the map, and it's what lead to Cruiserweight & X-Division's being created in wrestling companies.

Best Signature Move:
Goldberg - Spear
Definitely agree here with Goldberg's Spear. I've never heard any signature move other than Goldberg's Spear, get just as much a pop as a finisher. Sometimes I was more excited for the Spear than the Jackhammer. His Spear looked like it could legit cut you in half.

Best Finisher:
Stone Cold Steve Austin - Stunner
Another tough one to decide but I'm going with the Stunner. It always elicits a massive pop from the fans, and has been used in some of the most classic moments in WWE history, such as Austin stunning Vince for the first time ever, Austin stunning the entire McMahon family, and god the way some people have sold the move is just legendary. I'll post a few examples...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWgbBgjE05I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxizpndXi6s (Vince sells like he's epileptic, lol)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=___HACHElzs

I'm plenty sure there are tons more that I can't find. Imagine Dolph Ziggler selling a Stunner, he'll probably roll backwards and headstand for a few seconds before he falls flat on his stomach, lol. Also it used to be considered an Ace Cutter but it's the only Cutter that has broken out of that shell and become a move of it's own.

As for Best Promo, I'll have to think about that.

Best Dropkick Jumping Jim Brunzell..a little old school but the guy was unmatched in this department

Best Moonsault: Always was a fan of Kurt Angle's moonsault..especially when he missed

Best Finisher:Brock Lesnar-F5...i remember seeing him hit Rikish with it and it looked like he killed him

Best Signature:Ultimate Warrior shaking the ropes. It was when i fell in love with wrestling and Warrior was the guy..everytime i see it now on dvd or youtube it takes me back to when i was 7

Best Promo:Gotta be Macho Man Randy Savage.....check this out www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZcykZBZKJw&feature=related

Both of those Macho Man promos are hilarious lolol. And he probably wasnt even trying to be funny. Macho is definately underated on the mic. No one prob puts him in the top 10 but IMO he def deserves to be there. Alpha Male Monte Brown is one of my top 15 mic guys as well and I dont think he gets the credit he deserves. I have to go and look at some Kurt Angle moonsaults because I didnt think his would be ranked as one of the best. RVD was my fav wrestler back in the day and he's definately a guy who helped make high flying a trademark in prowrestling.
