No posts in this one? That's cool. I'll take the hit to my wrestling nerdom and admit I don't know a whole lot about Misawa and Kobashi but I know when I think of Japanese wrestlers of the last 25 years they are the first two that come to mind. That's good enough for me to pick them over Money Inc. in round one. Hopefully someone else will post on their behalf in later rounds to educate those of us not so familiar with Japanese wrestling.

The gist of Misawa and Kobashi is they were AJPW tag champions for over 500 days between 1993 and 1994. Among the teams they fought include Stan Hansen and Giant Baba, Gordy and Williams, and the Holy Demon Army, one of the most influential factions in wrestling history based out of Japan that consisted of Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue, who were SIX time champions and beat many foreign foes in Japan.

Needless to say, their accomplishments are simply bigger than Money Inc, who were tag champions in the WWF when Tag Wrestling was losing its luster.

They wouldn't be my pick if I were only picking one Japanese tag team, but they are a great pairing. I like money inc a lot and hate to see them go out in round one when lesser teams will advance, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Misawa and kobashi are two of the ten greatest wrestlers of the last 25 years.

Kobashi & Misawa were dominant from '90-'96; while a great team Money Inc. were never dominant and (arguably) their biggest match in their 17month history was at the worst WrestleMania of them all and was overshadowed by Hogan's 'victory' over Yokozuna. Double K&M would win this.
