Stone Cold Steve Austin takes this match and it shouldn't even be close. Neither Austin or Jake Roberts are known as submission specialists by any stretch of the imagination, but Austin has been slapped in submission holds by men far more adapt at using them than Jake Roberts without submitting. If Bret Hart couldn't make Steve Austin tap out, Jake Robers doesn't have chance in hell.

While I know that accomplishments don't automatically trump everything else, Austin pretty much did it all in the WWE and accomplished a respectable amount even in his WCW days. The best days of Jake Roberts' career in the WWF, he never rose above the standing of a lower mid-card wrestler. I enjoyed watching him in the ring and he gave killer promos, but he didn't accomplish a damn thing in the WWF. Austin takes this all the way.

How many submissions does Jake 'The Snake' Roberts know? Or has used in his career? Exactly. Austin used to actually finish the opponents with a Million Dollar Dream when he was the "Ringmaster". And once will be all he needs to win this. The rest of the time, Austin just beats the shit out of him, pours Thunderbird, Stroh's, and some Everclear all over Roberts and has some fun with him. Maybe even having a few beers in the process. Does passing out drunk count as a submission on Austin's part?

If not, then Jake 'The Snake' has no chance in this bout.

Austin moves on.

Some may try to argue that Jake may try to use his snake to lure Austin into a false sense of security. He was successful in bringing down Andre the Giant using this technique, and since he doesn't have any useful submissions, psychological warfare would be the next best thing.

However; I doubt that Austin isn't nicknamed 'the rattlesnake' for nothing. That would be ironic, a guy named after a snake, afraid of a snake.

All it takes is one tap out; I can see Austin winning this after successfully beating Roberts into a pulp following a struggle.

Austin wins easily.

Every attempt Jake the Snake would make to try and get into Austin's head, Austin would anticipate, prepare for, and turn around onto Roberts thus getting into Roberts head.

Austin has been placed into Submission matches before while I don't think Roberts has any experience in this match style.

In these matches, Austin has shown that he can hold his own with a small number of submissions in his repertoire. Austin has also shown that he can withhold the pain of one of a submissions from a submission specialist.

Austin advances by making Roberts submit to the Sharpshooter half way through the match, then spends the rest of the match beating Robert down further.

Austin is gonna be able to pull this one off rather easily, I've seen his share of submission holds here and there, may it be the Million Dollar Dream, a regular Boston Crab, the amount of holds that Austin knows is perfectly displayed against Bret Hart, and I think that match just shows that Austin will, needs and should be taking this match home by a long shot.

Jake doesn't know any submission holds, or have ever used any, therefore there's no need to argue for him, because he looses by default.

STONE COLD, STONE COLD, STONE COLD

Man, what a bad draw for Jake.

Seriously, has ANYONE ever seen Roberts use a submission hold? I mean, even one? Yeah, me neither.

Not to mention the fact that Austin has already pwned him in a high-profile match before. Sure, Jake was injured, but Austin wrestled throughout the entire duration of his prime as an injured wrestler.

Jake stands no chance in this match. Austin is going to dominate.

Most boring match of the tourney? Likely. A normal match between these two likely wouldn't be that entertaining, much less a freaking submission match. I don't really care about who knows what submissions or whatever since neither of these guys can be considered submission specialists in any way. You just have to go with who is better, which is Austin in every conceivable way except for "bringing a reptile to the ring with him" or "showing up drunk of his ass at a wrestling show."

The fact that Austin obliterated Roberts in real life should be enough here. The fact that Roberts was absolutely shit when it came to winning anything anywhere should make this even easier. Austin should win this match, and it shouldn't be and wouldn't be close.
