Liked the first one. Can't imagine the 2nd would be much different from the first though - so until someone tells me its worth it, I'll pass.
Bloody-Disgusting gave it a good review and Rider Strong returns, so I'll definitely be watching it at some point. Judah Friedlander is in it as well and he was great in Feast.
Have not seen any. Of them, only Captivity sounded worth watching. Oh, and if Ju-On is the foreign version of Grudge/Eye, then maybe that one too.
Captivity looks like it's going to be one of the worst films ever, but that hasn't stopped me from watching a flick ever before. Ju-On is the original Japanese version of The Grudge, only unlike the remake it's actually a very creepy and well made film.
Amazing movie. So much better than the American-ized version. Well, REC 1 I mean. I watched REC 2 a few weeks back - it'd been DVR'd from months ago, when HDNet showed it. I loved it.
The original [REC] was one of my favorite horror films when it came out, loved it. I liked Quarantine as well. Been putting off watching REC 2 for awhile so maybe I'll watch it tonight.
I have this one sitting on my stand, in front of me. I have yet to watch it, but was looking forward to trying sometime either tonight - or tomorrow after work.
Yeah read another great review on B-D about this film so I downloaded it, looks good.
Another reason why foreign films are amazing. I do want to see the American version as well though. I love the girl who plays in it. (Hit Girl FTW!)
Yeah I've seen the original, but it's been awhile. Remake looks meh, but B-D gave it like five stars so I'm like obligated to see it anyways.
Not at all. I saw bits and pieces of it earlier this year and fuckin' loved it. Looks like one of the funnest horror films to come out in years.
I was unaware either are 'horror' movies. Shutter Island was better than I thought it would be - but it's suspense with NO horror involved. And TGE, to my knowledge, was about a pornstar playing the role of a 'call girl' (huge leap there) involved in a bad/abusive relationship. I want to see it; but never find the waste of time to sit and watch it.
I said "most" of the titles were horror, not all of them. Shutter Island is another flick I've been putting off seeing for months and months but I'm not sure I'm up for a near 3 hour flick tonight.
New. I owe it to Norcal to watch it at some point.
-----------
I suggest..
1. 28 Days/Weeks Later
2. Anything zombie related (Dawn of the Dead 2004, Land of the Dead, Diary of the Dead - followed by Survival of the Dead)
I want to see "Mutants" but every single copy seems to have been recalled, because they don't play on DVDs. And Netflix doesn't want to carry it on instant viewing.
3. Fourth Kind. Assuming you can allow yourself to forget its unrealistic-ness, the 'real footage' is chilling (to me, anyways).
I've seen all of those way too many times, apart from The Fourth Kind which I think I actually might have on my DVR. Looks interesting.
Oh and Will, when you say you enjoyed SOTD more than Day, I hope you're referring to the Day of the Dead remake and not the original, right?
