LADDER WAR
ROH World Championship
Kevin Steen (c) vs. El Generico

Kevin Steen's reign of terror has met its biggest obstacle to date, in the form of bitter rival and former tag team partner, the returning El Generico! A rivalry which has raged on for four years, beginning all the way back at Final Battle 2009 when Steen kicked Generico in the groin and bent a steel chair over "The Generic Luchador's" skull. Now Generico is back, to dethrone and disarm "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare!"

GRUDGE MATCH
Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly vs. The American Wolves

Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards reform The American Wolves to battle Davey's former protegé and friend Kyle O'Reilly, and his new comrade Bobby Fish, the sometime tag team partner of Eddie Edwards in Pro Wrestling NOAH. O'Reilly and Fish feel as though they stand in the shadows of Richards and Edwards, and are out to spoil The American Wolves reunion!

THREE-WAY-TAG TEAM MATCH
ROH World Tag Team Championships
Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander vs. SCUM (c) vs. The Briscoes

Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino have retained the ROH World Tag Team Championships by any means necessary, despite this they have fended off Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team, The Bravado's and Rhett Titus & BJ Whitmer, but now have to deal with two teams out for gold! Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander want to make a name for themselves, while The Briscoes are vowing to leave NYC eight time ROH World Tag Team Champions!

SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH
Matt Hardy vs. Adam Cole

Matt Hardy's return to Ring of Honor after an eight year absence was shocking, being booed relentlessly at Death Before Dishonor X... but to compare himself to Adam Cole and state he is better, pushed Cole over the edge. Now Matt Hardy makes his in-ring return to ROH, against ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole, who is out to defend not only himself but his honor!

NYC STREET FIGHT
Rhett Titus & BJ Whitmer vs. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team

Since Final Battle 2011, Charlie Hass and Shelton Benjamin have been a constant thorn in the side of Rhett Titus. With the departure of Kenny King, Rhett went out and found a new tag team partner, a hardcore specialist in the form of BJ Whitmer. Rhett vows to end his rivalry with Hass and Benjamin in New York City, one way or another!

HOUSE OF TRUTH IMPLODES
"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs. Roderick Strong

The House of Truth was at one stage the most powerful faction within Ring of Honor, now its two biggest assets are at each others throats and will finally go at it in NYC! Michael Elgin's year has been phenomenal, two months ago at Glory By Honor XI he was moments away from becoming ROH World Champion until Roderick Strong interfered and cost him his chance. There's been threats, strikes and promises of violence made, but now the HoT will implode!

Rhino vs. Jay Lethal
Jay Lethal was sick and tired of being joke. Long gone are the days of "Black Machismo" and from the ashes rises "Killer Instinct" Jay Lethal. Lethal has vowed to fight the ROH World Champion at Final Battle, one way or another, and considering he has the Survival of the Fittest tournament victory which promises him a shot at the ROH World Champion sometime in the future, he could very well see that promise through. Rhino on the other hand is now a free man after splitting from the House of Truth, nobody knows his purpose, but a win over Lethal could do "The Man Beast" wonders!

JERRY LYNN'S FINAL ROH MATCH
Mike Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis vs. Jerry Lynn

Before he retires on March 23rd, former ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn will attempt to fend off one of ROH's brightest young prospects, "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett. Mike is out to spoil Lynn's farewell match, something Bennett did earlier in the year when he entered a rivalry with one of Lynn's greatest rivals Lance Storm. The question on many peoples minds is though, this may be Jerry Lynn's final match, but could it also be Mike Bennett's?

I am so fucking in for this.

Tonight Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and El Generico are all headlining PPV's. It's good to be a fan.

Ambrose and Rollins aren't headlining a PPV. Cena and Ziggler are.

...I hope.

Today I have that feeling inside my belly. The one I get around WrestleMania time, it's pretty cool, like getting it twice a year. I know FB is nothing compared to WrestleMania of course but I'm just psyched for this card.

As time continues I still back the decision to sever ties with Jim Cornette.

Hammerstein Ballroom is packed, the stream quality is very good, Nigel McGuinness is absent from commentary due to travel issues and we kick things off with Michael Elgin versus Roderick Strong.

That match sucked. Went way too long and had no selling at points. I like Elgin but Strong is the definition of indy vanilla midget(Which is evident in his post match promo).

Liked the promo by Truth Martini but i think i'm his only fan.

Roderick Strong defeats Michael Elgin after a solid opening match, lot of back and forth, some good spots too mostly including backbreakers. Strong picks up the win with an assist from Truth Martini and his End of Heartache finishing maneuver. Post match he tells Martini he's sick of his bullshit and that he quits the HoT.

Michael Elgin also Elgin Bombs Truth Martini basically to hell.

Jay Lethal beats Rhino in a mediocre match, Steve Corino's commentary was much better. Making your mother jokes about Jay's mom. Pretty funny shit.

RD Evans defeats Prince Nana with a Reverse Styles Clash, pretty impressive for a match built around two managers. Tommaso Ciampa who has recovered from a torn ACL in five months returns post match and promises revenge on RD Evans for isolating him due to his injury.

Up next Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team, Hass and Benjamin versus Rhett Titus and BJ Whitmer in an NYC Street Fight. What makes it an NYC Street Fight? Same thing that made Jericho versus Punk a Chicago Street Fight... their wearing jeans.

I haven't watched ROH in ages, but was anyone expecting anything else? Those two have always reeked of "piss break" to me. Surely they haven't gotten better. Have they?

Lethal's character has improved, his wrestling unless with someone who can carry him has not. Rhino is just a Gore machine. The only way he gets a reaction is hitting a Gore.

A very entertaining yet very violent match NYC Street Fight. Christmas tree, glass, two tables, Shelton Benjamin not doing a single spot, instead Charlie Hass sends BJ Whitmer from the top rope through a table with an Exploder suplex and BJ landed very awkwardly on top of his head. Great match, hope BJ Whitmer is okay.

One of the funniest spots I've seen in a while - Shelton Benjamin using a Christmas tree as a weapon.

Jerry Lynn's final Ring of Honor match versus someone, who could be having possibly his final or one of his final Ring of Honor matches, before signing with WWE, Mike Bennett.

CM Punk chant from the faithful in attendance. They were chanting something alongside it, I've been told it was "Let's go Ryback," but I didn't hear so take that with a grain of salt.

I love me some Maria. Dat ass...

Also, sick table spot with Haas and Whitmer. Match was mediocre. I popped for the holiday spots. I liked the opener. No tech problems is a good thing. Nothing worry of all the hype thus far though. To be fair, I've created most of that hype for myself.

Main event is going to be AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwesome!

Mike Bennett defeats Jerry Lynn with the Box Office Smash in Lynn's final Ring of Honor match before retirement. Post match Lynn plants Bennett with a Cradle Piledriver and Maria with a DDT. Lot of "E-C-DUB," chants ringing out.

That fucking cutter man. Holy Shit.

I'm legit pissed off that Lynn lost, I hate Mike Bennet, it's not heel hate but it's fucking x-pac heat. The guy is truly nothing special and only gets pushed because he has mild charisma. It's the same reason Dem boys got pushed at the start(But they're actually pretty great now).

I know professional wrestling is just theatre for booger eaters. But Jerry Lynn is making me proud to be one of those booger eaters.
