The Hulkster rules, Brother! Hogan is the biggest name in Professional Wrestling. The man carried Professional Wrestling as a whole for close to 20 years. His endurance and power game are only matched by one man, and that is John Cena. Hawk might put up a fight, and he might put Hulkster in a bind, but Hulkamania will start running wild and Hogan will drop his leg on Hawk for the one, two, three.

Its Hulk Hogan, what can you do? I automatically feel sorry for anyone who comes up against him. Just like Animal, who came up against an opponent in Andre The Giant, Hawk doesn't stand a chance. The Hulkster will "Hulk" up and win it. Could be over pretty damn quick too.

Hogan will win this match. Not that Hawk wasn't a badass in the ring, but because Hogan is the better of the two. The Hulkster, in his prime, could defeat just about anyone.

As much love as I have for the Road Warriors, nobody can justify voting for fucking Hawk over Hulk fucking Hogan. There really is no argument that can plausibly be made for Hawk to go over here. Hulk Hogan is the greatest professional wrestler that has ever lived and easily the biggest star the business has ever produced. Hulk wins, that's all that needs to be said.

Putting aside the obvious "It's Hulk Hogan" argument, Hawk was never much of a singles wrestler. Like Animal being matched up against Andre, it's not just who their opponent is that hinders their chances of advancing, it's their own domination as a tag team. Because of their team success, neither Animal or Hawk ever really spent much time at all as singles wrestlers. This is a tournament for singles wrestlers. Both are completely out of their elements in a tournament like this. Honestly, there are quite a few singles wrestlers not named Hulk Hogan that I would pick to win in a landslide against Hawk for that reason. Doesn't mean Hawk isn't a total badass, he is. Make a Tag Team version of this tournament, the Road Warriors probably win the whole damn thing, more years than not. But, Hawk is simply not a singles wrestler, and is completely out his element.

Hulk Hogan should win this rather easily.

One of the most highly decorated tag team wrestlers vs the most influential man in wrestling history? Sigh... I wish I could find a way to say Hawk would win this one... If only he looked exactly like Animal, then I could foresee some twin magic or something. Otherwise, its Big Boot, Legdrop City. Hulkster moves on.

Only a very, very very small handful of guys could have beaten Hogan in his prime and, unfortunately, Hawk wasn't one of them.

Hogan remains the overall biggest star in the history of wrestling. He dominated the 1980s like nobody's business and remains one of the longest World Champions in wrestling history.

Hawk was a big, powerful guy that was used to throwing guys around. He & Animal were to tag team wrestling in the 80s what Hogan was to the singles ranks during the same time period. Unfortunately for Hawk, this isn't a tag team match. All of Hawk's accomplishments & biggest moments came as part of the Road Warriors. He wasn't a singles star, he wasn't a singles main eventer, he wasn't a singles World Champion, he wasn't even a singles mid-carder.

Being as powerful as he was, I can see Hawk giving Hogan a rough 10 minutes possibly. Hawk hits the flying clothesline off the top, Hogan kicks out to Hawk's shock and Hogan "Hulks Up". Hawk throws a few haymaker right hands to no effect before Hogan delivers a few of his own and follows up with the big boot and then the leg drop for the win.

There is a reason Hawk and Animal were seeded so low in this tournament. It's because they aren't known for their individual success. In a tag team tournament the Road Warriors would likely be the favorites. In singles action they just don't stand out. I think Hawk may have more singles experience than his partner but it's nowhere near enough to overcome the the biggest name in wrestling history.

I think if anyone were to vote for Hawk in this one, they should be either warned or even infracted for trolling. Because there is absolutely no way that anyone could seriously give Hawk one iota of a chance against the Immortal One.

Hawk had a good career as a tag team wrestler, but even in a handicap match with both Road Warriors, Hogan would prevail in this one easily. No disrespect to Hawk, but he's simply not even in the same league as Hogan. Hogan would be far too much for Hawk to handle. Granted he's no Stone Cold Steve Austin, right Pancake? But he still wins this match without even breaking a sweat.

Hogan vs. The Road Warriors. Sounds awesome. Wait, this isn't a handicap match? It's just Hawk? Yeah, no. Road Warriors - fucking badass tag team. Alone - not shit. Great solid wrestlers but the money is in the tag team alone and not in them as singles wrestlers. Much like Animal vs. Andre, Hawk needs his partner here to even stand a chance against wrestling most over wrestler ever. Hulk moves on with out a problem.

Dear Hawk,

Thank you for participating in the Wrestlezone Tournament. I know you were hoping for better, hell, maybe a chance reaching the third round with a lucky draw. You were huge all over the US and Japan. You were legitimately feared. You stabbed Dusty in the eye with a spike from your shoulder pads and created one of the biggest shocks in TV wrestling history. But you know what the deal is. You're facing Hulk Hogan. We both know what that means.

Thank you for jobbing. I hope to vote for you next year.

Sincerely,

Peoples_Champ

Hogan in a squash. Do i need to justify?

Hawk is a great tag teamer, but no singles history worth mentioning. Hogan is one of the two biggest names ever.

Hawk is one of the best tag-team wrestlers of all time, but has very little experience of being a singles guy in major matches. He isn't just facing anyone in this match either, this is the Babe Ruth or The Michael Jordan of wrestling, THE man who put the sport on the map.

There is not a single % chance that Hawk would go over Hogan in the 1st round. However, I would expect Hawk to get a little offense in, Hogan hulks up, fights back, and then its the big boot/leg drop combo for a victory. Hulk moves on.

Winner: Hulk Hogan

What I'm wondering is why do we even have tag team Specialists in this tournament? None of the Nasty Boys, Bushwackers, or Wild Samoans is going over any considerable singles star. I didnt mention the Steiners or Harlem Heat because Scott & Booker are singles beasts.

With that said, I could imagine Hawk playing standard heel & making the match entertaining. Great undertone seller. Easy Hogan victory. 80s crowd goes home happy.

Bad luck for the Road Warriors in this tournament. Animal gets Andre in an ECW match, and Hawk gets Hogan in a WWE match. I really like Hawk, but Hogan has to move on here. Hogan won't squash Hawk, but will get the win here with a leg drop, I see. Hogan was just too dominant as a singles wrestler, where Hawk was too dominant as a tag team wrestler. This is a singles tournament, so Hogan moves on here in this match up.

One is a tag team wrestler that never did anything in singles wrestling, the other is the greatest professional wrestler of all time. Hogan may be the only wrestler in history to stand a chance against the Road Warriors in a handicap match, against one of them he'd dominate.
